2 Days Rwanda Gorilla Tour

This package includes a Gorilla Tour in Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park, a popular destination for Gorilla trekking, as well as a guided tour of Kigali City.

Itinerary

Travel to Volcanoes National Park: Your tour guide will pick you from Kigali and drive you to the park, located in the scenic Musanze district to the North West of Rwanda.

Tracking the Gorillas: From here, you will be assigned a Gorilla family to track, and guided on an exciting trek into the forested heart of the Virunga chain of mountains in search of the shy Mountain Gorillas.

This remote and mysterious habitat of the elusive primates, with its lush vegetation and diverse fauna is a destination in itself. Five out of the eight volcanoes in the Virunga mountains chain are located in the Volcanoes National Park. The austere beauty of their soaring peaks, emerging out of the morning mist and hovering protectively over Musanze town has a magnetic draw that will remain with you long after your trip is over.

Up close with the Gorillas: Once you locate the gorillas, you get to spend an hour with them. Taking pictures is allowed (no flash), though many visitors choose simply to immerse themselves into this intimate moment by silently watching the Gorillas’ actions. Return: After an amazing hour with the Gorillas, you will be guided back out of the forest and then we’ll chauffeur you back to Kigali in time for your flight to your next destination.

Kigali City Tour

This tour includes a visit to key attractions within Rwanda’s vibrant capital, including the iconic Kigali Genocide Memorial at Gisozi.
