3 Days Rwanda Cultural Tour Itinerary
1
Day 1: Arrive in Kigali, Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Upon arrival at the airport in Kigali or at the designated pickup location, our tour guide/driver will warmly receive you and give you the highlights of the 3 Days Rwanda Cultural Tour. Soon after, you will take be transferred to Kigali city to have lunch and then drive through to Musanze province where Volcanoes National Park is located.
Enjoy the scenic journey drive giving you amazing views Rwanda’s hills and valleys leading to different communities and villages in Rwanda with stopovers at various trading centers where you can do local shopping from. Reach in time at your hotel and check-in for your accommodation.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
Today you will have your greatest experience in Rwanda; gorilla trekking in the Volcanoes National Park. Just after your hefty breakfast prepared by the locals, pack up your essential items for gorilla trekking and transfer to the headquarters of the park in Kinigi. At exactly 7:00 am, you will have an insightful briefing about the activity of gorilla trekking and then be divided into groups of 8 trekkers per gorilla family, then hike to begin the search for these enchanting primates.
On several occasions, it takes between 1 to 6 hours to trek the gorillas depending on their current stay. You will be guaranteed only one hour to interact with the gorillas. It is really a nice experience seeing them play, guard each other, feed among others. After the trek, we will take our long journey back to the lodge, take a rest and in the evening opt to go for evening walks in the nearby communities with a local guide as you learn more about the Rwandan culture.

Day 3: Iby’iwacu Cultural Tour, Transfer to Kigali
Today being your last day of the tour, you will wake up to a tasty breakfast and start your last Rwanda cultural tour experience visiting the gorilla guardian’s village also known as the Ibyi’wachu cultural village. You will have a detailed account of the Kinyarwanda traditions and culture dating from the pre-colonial era. This is the most enticing of this tour as you get to participate in real life with the people here having the opportunity to taste the local foods and locally brewed wines. You will participate in cultural activities such as storytelling, singing and dancing around a campfire and spend the night in a traditional hut.
